Just stopped by to say hello to any of my old blogger friends that may see this short post. Am doing fine – will soon be selling my first book on Amazon. Am writing my second book.
Here is my attempt to photograph the Super Blood Moon Eclipse on January 31. Imagine 6:15 a.m., flashlight in hand, dizzy as usual – falling through the front red tip hedge and trying to dodge limbs in my view. All this for a picture of the Moon.
A sunset just because I love sunsets.
Well I spent a month not being able to blog. In that month I decided to stop blogging. I disconnected my internet 6 or 7 weeks ago; I started going to my daughter’s house to use her internet service. I was sick with my vertigo problem and could not leave home for 2 weeks. Then my daughter got a virus and was sick for 2 weeks and I could not go to her home and perhaps catch this virus. During this time I found that I returned to a life I had before internet. I found I enjoyed the free time to do things I once use to do, but did not have time for anymore. I now, am writing a second book, reading books, painting, drawing, spending time with friends and family; face to face. I have enjoyed blogging with all of my blogger friends, I will miss you, but at age 75 it is time for this old lady to go back to the old ways of life. Ha So farewell and may God bless each of you in your lives.
I will leave you with this lovely sunset . . .
We have had multiple sunrises here in Arkansas in the months of June and July. But we have had very few sunsets. The clouds always drift away in the early evening; there is nothing in the evening for the sun to reflect its bright rays upon. Each morning as I stand in the yard and photograph the great sunrise I think of someone I know who is suffering; or has lost a loved one – and I pray for them. We have lost 2 wonderful older ladies from church in a week’s time (from very tragic accidents). Their husbands have taken their deaths very hard.
Following is the only good sunSET I have captured this month.
Sometimes the sunset is not in the correct place in the sky. The sunset in the West was not colorful at all a few nights ago. But – in the Southeast this beautiful cloud was floating high in the sky. As the sun from the West reflected on this huge cloud, a glorious color began to appear in the Southeast sky. I have seen this happen quite often and the results is spectacular; as you can see by the photo below. This photo is not enhanced, this is exactly what my eyes and my camera lens viewed.
I did not intend to post again until next week, but I simply had to share this Friday Sunrise. Wow! The rabbits, birds, and I truly loved this show in the sky. Lol
I have prayed many times for a world full of kindness. The secret to staying happy and peaceful – never listen to nor watch the news. That is hard to do in my home, because my husband is an avid news watcher. I try to escape the violence and hate that constantly bombards the newscasts. I can hear most of the news from another room in our home. I often go outside or put my earphones on to listen to music on my MP3 player and drown out the news.
God’s word tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars in Matthew 24:6-9. These verses tell of a sad scenario about the violence and hate that will transpire on this earth.
In Ephesians 6:10-13 God tells us to withstand evil. We must put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Listening to a constant barrage of hate on the news; makes us forget there is still much good in this world. The news is 97% bad and usually only 3% good.
Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us to let all bitterness, wrath, hate, and evil be put away from us. We are instructed to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving one to another.
Romans 12:20 – Overcome evil with Good.
Although we live among the evil doers of this world – we must let our light shine brightly. Perhaps our examples of good will turn a lost soul to Christ.
I often look to the sky when I pray to God. As you can see from the enclosed photos – there is beauty and peace in the wonderful pictures God paints for us in the sky.
May God bless our world and bring more peace and less hate in the future.
These 3 pictures are of the same sunrise this morning. The Sky changes constantly.
There is a church song I love – “A Beautiful Life”. I love the first verse of this song – “Each day I’ll do a golden deed. By helping those who are in need. My life on earth is but a span. And so I’ll do the best I can.” The sunrise this morning was beautiful and as I stood outside I sang this song to myself.
A buzzard flew over, landed in a tree to watch me. A little rabbit bounded by and went on his way. He was too fast to capture his picture.
I looked at this cloud and thought I saw a Teddy Bear laying on his back, watching me, as he drifted slowly by. His front paws were on his chest and his back leg was raised to wave at me.
These wavy clouds drifted by – as if they were waving a greeting to me. What a beautiful world God gave us to enjoy.
I can still see that Teddy Bear raise his head to look at me. As he drifts along on his fluffy, soft bed of clouds, high up in that beautiful sky.
The last verse of the song . . . “While going down life’s weary road. I’ll try to lift some traveler’s load. I’ll try to turn the night to day. Make flowers bloom along the way.”
My husband and I did just that last week for a stranded 60 year old lady. Her car broke down and she had little money to continue her journey home (500 miles). She had been sleeping in her car for 3 nights. It was a blessing for us to help someone who told us the truth. Someone who truly needed help. She said, “God sent her 2 guardian angels.” She had taken a wrong turn and ended up in our area. We told her God sent her our way so we could help. A wonderful christian mechanic, we know, fixed the mechanical problems with her car and did not charge a fee. This lady sent us an email when she arrived safely home. It makes me think of the verse in the Bible – Hebrews 13:2 “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
When your life is troubled, or your heart is full of sorrow – lift your eyes to the sky and let God help and comfort you.
Can you see the fox walking on the clouds in this picture?
Give God the glory in your life and always put your faith in Him. He will never leave you nor fail you.
