Early Morning

I am usually still up when my husband retires for the night.  I am up in the early morning for 2 or 3 hours before my husband arises.  Insomnia is a big problem for me. but seeing the sunrise when it appears is the best part of the day.  The sunrise this morning after 5 inches of rain yesterday – was not as colorful as usual, but I can still see the beauty of God’s morning display in the sky.

Anything in nature is a thrill for me.  We all have to agree that God created a beautiful world for us to enjoy.  The joy in a sunrise is missed by a lot of people in the world, because they fail to pause and take in the beauty that surrounds them.  I give a big sigh as I photograph each morning’s sunrise and realize what others have missed.  I always show the sunrise to my husband who would miss it – if I did not show him what I have captured in my camera lens each early morning.

James 3: 17-18  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy, and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Viewing Above

I find when the antics of those in the world upset me – looking above the earth and viewing the sky brings me peace.  I cannot believe the colors that God spreads across the sky.  The television news  is depressing beyond belief.  Why they fail to show much more of the good news that happens in this world is beyond me.  I still believe there are more good people in this world – than there are bad.  I would like to hear the good stories.IMG_6920.JPG

My Farewell.

Well I spent a month not being able to blog.  In that month I decided to stop blogging.  I disconnected my internet 6 or 7 weeks ago; I started going to my daughter’s house to use her internet service.  I was sick with my vertigo problem and could not leave home for 2 weeks.  Then my daughter got a virus and was sick for 2 weeks and I could not go to her home and perhaps catch this virus.  During this time I found that I returned to a life I had before internet.  I found I enjoyed the free time to do things I once use to do, but did not have time for anymore.  I now, am writing a second book, reading books, painting, drawing, spending time with friends and family; face to face.  I have enjoyed blogging with all of my blogger friends, I will miss you, but at age 75 it is time for this old lady to go back to the old ways of life.  Ha  So farewell and may God bless each of you in your lives.

I will leave you with this lovely sunset . . .

Sunset Reflection

Sometimes the sunset is not in the correct place in the sky.  The sunset in the West was not colorful at all a few nights ago.  But – in the Southeast this beautiful cloud was floating high in the sky.  As the sun from the West reflected on this huge cloud, a glorious color began to appear in the Southeast sky.  I have seen this happen quite often and the results is spectacular; as you can see by the photo below.  This photo is not enhanced, this is exactly what my eyes and my camera lens viewed.

One Wet Day

It had been raining, but seemed to move out of our area after dropping 3 inches of rain. As it began to clear we saw a beautiful sunrise.   We decided to take a ride up North toward Paradise Road.  A beautiful road, with daisies and flowers growing in the road ditches.

Well, we found the rain in the North and picture taking was out of the question; for quite some time.  In fact, seeing where we were going was quite a feat.

But . . .  After the rain began to fall less and less, we saw the most colorful and beautiful rainbow we had seen in a long time.

The clouds were so white and fluffy in the sky as we drove along.

This is the stretch of road near our house.  On the left side of the highway, among the big trees in the center of this picture is Home Sweet Home.  What a glorious day to be out in nature. Despite the rain, it was a relaxing and enjoyable ride.

Look To The Sky

When your life is troubled, or your heart is full of sorrow – lift your eyes to the sky and let God help and comfort you.
