Nature Soothes Your Soul

If sadness and sorrow overwhelm you . . . grab your camera, go outside and photograph nature.  This always soothes one’s soul.

Eastern Phoebe Flycatcher.  Not a shy little bird . . . he’s very entertaining.

“What is Life?   It is the flash of a firefly in the night, it is the breath of a buffalo in the winter time.  It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the Sunset.”  CROWFOOT

“Wonderful how completely everything in wild nature fits into us, as if truly part and parent of us. The sun shines not on us, but in us.  The rivers flow not past, but through us, thrilling, tingling, vibrating every fiber and cell of the substance of our bodies, making them glide and sing.”  JOHN MUIR

“The Earth is what we have in common.”  WENDELL BERRY

Cannot fail to display one of my favorite things, Old Red Barns. This barn was built in 1975.

      1. I agree dear Peggy.. I spent so many years cooped up within factory walls with no windows.. In the evening I would always in the garden.. Mowing lawns, and tending to boarders.. it was my escape.. Thankfully the latter years when I changed career paths it was not as bad.. But this last two years since I retired you will find me more often than not outside either sitting or gardening.. Nature is my breath..
